Blue Jays, Gausman look to earn series sweep vs. Marlins

The Toronto Blue Jays turn to another top pitcher on their staff as they look to finish off a three-game sweep Sunday afternoon against the Miami Marlins.

Toronto (76-54) has seized control of the AL East and enters the series finale outscoring Miami 12-8 through the first two games.

The Marlins (60-69), meanwhile, are trending in the opposite direction. Sitting third in the NL East, Miami has dropped two straight and seven of its last 10, struggling to generate offence at key moments.

On the mound, the Blue Jays turn to Kevin Gausman, who has been a steady anchor for the rotation. The right-hander comes in with a 3.78 ERA and 1.06 WHIP, and the Blue Jays could benefit from Gausman going deep into the game to save the bullpen.
